Typography is the delicate art of balancing letterforms in an artistic style to promote a specific aesthetic. Good typography has the ability to connect powerfully with audiences on an almost subconscious level; delivering both the definitive meaning of the text and a connotative emotional reaction.
I'll admit that I'm a typography nut. I'm constantly examining typefaces and logotypes, determining what works and what doesn't. I've studied the reactions that people have to various typographic mores and clichés. I follow the latest typographic blogs and am always playing with new forms and reworking old ones.
